OPTIONAL LPG-SYSTEM POWERED BY PRINS
Quit worrying about the fuel costs of your American V8 powerhouse – thanks to the AEC LPG system. Specifically developed for the 5.7 L HEMI® V8 engine in collaboration with Prins, the leading European manufacturer of alternative fuel systems, the Ram is operated almost entirely with liquified petroleum gas at the push of a button. Lower the operating costs of your Ram 1500 and increase your range – without compromising on performance or V8 sound.
Perfectly integrated into the dashboard of your Ram 1500, you can activate the LPG-system at the touch of a button. The 122 L LPG underbody tank is mounted underneath the truckbed where usually the spare tire is stored. When the LPG tank is empty, you can rely on the Ram’s entire normal range with its 98L petrol tank.
MULTIPLE DISPLACEMENT SYSTEM & FUEL SAVER TECHNOLOGY
The 5.7 HEMI V8 is not only capable of delivering unrivalled power. The inherent Multiple Displacement System (MDS) has a state-of-the-art cylinder deactivation kick in, whenever full V8 capability is not needed.
When gliding over country roads and highways at consistent speeds, flowing with steady city traffic or during deceleration periods, the MDS suspends injection and ignition on four of the HEMI’s eight cylinders to improve fuel efficiency. At high speeds and for acceleration, climbing or moving heavy loads the HEMI delivers it’s renowned V8 punch, reliably firing on all cylinders.

ADAPTIVE ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE SYSTEM
The standard all-wheel drive system of all AEC Ram 1500 is also used in the 2021 Ram 1500: in the event of loss of traction, the 4WD control intervenes automatically and supports via the front axle. Alternatively, choose between 2WD rear-wheel drive for trailer operation or activate the off-road reduction of the Ram 1500 Sport at the push of a button.
3.500 KG MAXIMUM TOTAL WEIGHT
Built to do the job right: Due to the reduced weight of the new 2021 Ram 1500 Sport, it ensures maximum loading capacity. With the AEC 2021 Ram 1500 models you have an impressive towing power at your side, which offers up to 3,500 kg of pure power combined with a chassis that combines comfort with performance.
3.500 KG MAXIMUM TOWING
Tow with conficence: This is a full-size truck with full-size towing capability. Get your Ram truck with the legendary 5.7 l HEMI® V8 powerhouse and AEC by default hooks you up with a GVWR and towing capacity increase. The result is an impressive towing capacity, powered by the most reliable V8: up to 7 tons of unbridled power that takes on the toughest towing assignments.

IMPROVED TOWING – 3,92 REAR AXLE RATIO
AEC unlocks the Ram‘s maximum towing potential for Europe by hooking you up with an AEC engineered EU trailer hitch and towing capacity increase to 3.500 kg upon the truck‘s arrival on European soil.
A numerically lower axle ratio (rear axle) leads to a lower engine speed and better efficiency. A numerically higher ratio improves acceleration, climbing, carrying loads or pulling a trailer – standard for all AEC 2021 Ram 1500 models.
ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTERS
Introduced for the 5th Generation Ram 1500, Active Grille Shutters installed behind the grille, define the Ram’s aerodynamic profile upfront. As long as no air is needed to cool the engine, the Grille Shutters remain shut to provide a solid surface diverting the airflow around the front and over the hood.
As the engine heat level rises, the shutters open to allow a cooling airflow into the engine bay.

ACTIVE AIRDAM AND FOUR CORNER AIR SUSPENSION
Behind the front bumper the Ram’s Active Airdam is concealed. This front spoiler system deploys at 50 km/h by increasing the angle against the airstream to guide it around trucks underbody significantly reducing turbulence underneath the truck.
The four corner air suspension available on selected trims additionally lowers the vehicle front to further enhance this effect.
